Ghim
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Ghim, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least [13 / 16 — per your jurisdiction] years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use Ghim. By using the App you confirm you meet this requirement and can form a binding contract.
3. What Ghim does
Ghim helps you save real-world places you find in screenshots. You share or import a screenshot; the App reads its text on your device, our server uses AI to identify the likely place, your device matches it against Apple Maps, and the result is saved as a pin on your personal map. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.
4. Your account
You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
5. Your content
- You own your pins. The places you save, and any notes associated with them, are your content.
- License to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g. syncing your pins to your devices). We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
- Responsibility. You are responsible for the content you save and for ensuring you have the right to save it. Do not use Ghim to store unlawful content or to infringe others' rights.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- abuse the scanning or saving features to send excessive automated requests (we apply rate limits to protect the Service);
- misuse the App to harass others or to collect data about people without a lawful basis.
7. Place data, maps, and AI results
- Place matching uses Apple Maps (MapKit / MKLocalSearch), and map display uses Apple Maps. Your use of these features is also subject to Apple Maps' terms.
- AI-assisted extraction. The App uses an automated model to interpret screenshot text. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous. Ghim may save the best Apple Maps match first and let you swap or remove it if it is wrong. Place details such as addresses, phone numbers, and websites come from third-party map data and may be wrong or out of date. Do not rely on Ghim as the sole source of truth for a place; verify anything important.
8. Third-party services
The App depends on Apple, OpenAI, Supabase, and Google Cloud. Your use of the App is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for third-party services' availability or acts.
9. Intellectual property
The App, its branding, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy or redistribute the App except as permitted by the App Store terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that place data or AI results will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim, or [AMOUNT — e.g., USD 50].
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — e.g., Vietnam], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [JURISDICTION / VENUE], unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, notifying you in the App. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Apple App Store terms
If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (including the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or "EULA") also apply. In particular:
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple; Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, claims of non-conformance, product liability, or third-party intellectual-property claims relating to the App; those are our responsibility as permitted by these Terms and applicable law.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
